its been way to long since i've linked up with embrace the camera.  so here we go! its not a great pic, however it's always slim pickins to capture a photo that includes myself.

we are heading to the lake soon and i'm trying to put together a few things to help keep the kids busy.  first on the list...

•  bottle or jar with lid
• tiny treasures to find
• rice and or beans

i decided to make two since there will be six kids!  so easy and great for car rides!

angel and jay

last weekend my friend angel asked me if i would take some couples pictures of her and her boyfriend...of course i said yes.

yes i know, they are young.   and cute.    they are both really sweet too!

and i think they kinda like each other

to be 21 again :-)  i can only wish my boys will be like jay at 21, and if they bring home a girl like angel i just might let her stick around!

front porch paradise

i have always admired homes that were equipped with spacious front porches. porches that have room for large swings and huge potted plants.  finally after four years living in this home i have revamped my very not so spacious front porch...

my porch has become my favorite spot to hang out.  as soon as i put my kids down for their afternoon nap i head straight out the front door.  call me weird but i love to pick the dead flower buds off the plants and scoop out the unwanted debris in the pond, it's kind of my own form of relaxation therapy.

i enjoy listening to the water circulate in the pond and watching the small goldfish swim peacefully just below the surface.  i have added all kinds of beautiful potted plants and flowers that add so much color and enjoyment.

if you were a  bunny sneaking in my plants you might find me sitting in the small chair below.

we finally joined the pool friday evening at the carondelet y!  the boys pulled on their swim trunks, i grabbed the pool bag and we were on our way.  water was a bit chilly, but you know how kids are they hopped right in.

looking forward to many more sunny days relaxing at the pool this summer!

playgrounds and picnics..turtle park

i surprised the boys with a very different type of park today...

we've visited the turtles before, however i think it's been about two years since.  we had a great time climbing up and sliding down...

egg hopping is a great past time...

already planning where to go next week?!

i picked up my old neighbor friend on sunday and we headed to the park!  the angel that i remember looked nothing like this...

this girl is all grown up...

grants farm 6-3-12

we ventured over to grants farm on this glorious day!

we had oodles of fun, which included~

feeding baby goats...

snake hunting...

slurping snow cones...

pony petting...

and more baby goats...

it was a good day...
