thankful thursday

thankful for the innocence of a child and the simplicity of their happiness...

~thrilled about a cheap pair of handcuffs~

thankful we got to spend lots of extra time with our godson this week.   the boys are obsessed with their god brother...he's the coolest.   he's growing up, and losing teeth!

~nothing screams childhood like crowded and missing teeth~

thankful for my basketball champs....

lunch dates with my boys...

to say i'm blessed would be an understatement

not as much as we love you

snow snow go away, and never come back:-( so ready to ditch the boots and retrieve the flip flops that are scattered at the bottom of my closet.  out with the snow and in with the green grass!

i promised the boys if they helped me straighten up the house this morning i would get out a special surprise. little feet scurried from room to room picking up toys that had been flung about one day prior and dirty laundry sailed down the basement steps.
the surprise...a set of transformers seany had completely forgot about since christmas.  i'm always quick to tuck a few gifts away in the closet and never have they known the wiser.  it's way cooler to open them up on a random thursday morning.

i said "seany you guys sure love those transformers", he replies "not as much as we love you".     he melts my heart!

thankful i'm top on their list!!

still excited about the snow

the sun rose on sunday morning and  much to our surprise a blanket of soft snow covered every thing in sight.  "can we play in the snow" screeched little voices.  "we don't have time, to much to do" i reply.  "awww" :-(  we headed out the door and everywhere we drove, kids...playing in the snow.

hours had past and by the time we were pulling back into the garage the sun was not the only thing that had started to set. hank and i were both feeling guilty that the boys had not gotten to play in the snow.  we scrambled around and fetched the snow gear.

these two crazies are still talking about it!

today is tuesday...

today is tuesday and once again seany did not go to preschool :(  i could tell he wasn't feeling 100%, but was hoping he was just a little sleepy from coughing on and off through the night.  no fever...yet, eating and drinking like a champ so hopefully whatever bug he has won't stick around.  this doesn't come as a surprise to say the least considering he woke up with huge swollen glands in his neck on sunday.  we were getting ready to take the boys to basketball and as i was putting lotion on sean's face i noticed it.    we took him to the hospital and the doc said he was probably just coming down with something.  i guess today was the day it's greeting us.

even though we've had a few cases of the sickies, on our good days we have been having fun!

playing at the science center...

skating lessons...

just hanging out...

happy day!!

{thankful thursday}

i am thankful we are feeling well for the most part.  hank has a cold but i think he'll take that over the flu the boys and i shared last week.  i am so ready  for spring i can't stand it.  bring on the picnic lunches and  playground fun.  with such great whether this past saturday we did get out for a bit to stretch our legs and play!!
