seriously there is absolutely nothing attractive about a block of wood that holds your knives. if your like me and this thing is always out on display on your counter why not paint it up!! i saw this idea on pinterest and ran with it. i bought a lil bottle of acrylic paint and gave it 2 coats. once that dried i put to coats of modge podge on the top. so easy!! give it a whirl and i encourage you to pick a fun color, i used turquoise blue.
